The Explore page allows you to explore and visualize your logs using a customized version of Kibana, a familiar, friendly open-source tool. Kibana gives you the tools view, query, sort, filter your logs, as well as create custom dashboards and visualizations, or use observIQ's pre-made Dashboards as well. Upon first sign-in, the Explore page will be empty, as no logs have been sent to the platform immediately after the first sign-in. After deploying your first Agent and Source, you'll start see your logs populate this page.



The Fleet page allows you to manage the lifecycle and remotely configure your fleet of Agents, Sources, and Templates. Users can generate agent install commands, manage their Agents, and create Sources to deploy to their Agents



On the Alerts page, users can define query and filter threshold-based Alert Definitions from logs, manage your Incidents and create Notifiers (Notification Channels) for your Incidents. You can also define query and filters your Alert Definitions directly from the Explore page as well.



The Settings page allows you to manage the users and roles in your account. You can change your password, invite additional users, and set user roles in your account. Here, you can also adjust archive configuration.


Clicking on User brings up your organization's users.

What does each role mean?

  • Owner
    Owners manage account billing, manage users and roles, and have full access to log management capabilities of observIQ. There is 1 Owner per account in observIQ.

  • Admin
    Admins can manage users and roles and have full access to log management capabilites of observIQ, but cannot manage account billing.

  • User
    Users have full access to log management capabilities of observIQ, but cannot manage users and roles or account billing.


Under Profile you can change your password, set email notification preferences and generate an API key, if needed, for standalone Agents not connected to observIQ.
